Puppy Socialisation The Dog Log Way!
Next dates are:
Fridays – start 1st March for 6 weeks
Saturdays – start 2nd March for 6 weeks – FULL
(Both have. aweek off in the middle for Easter hols!)
in a kind, caring and practical way.
Have you ever wondered what puppy socialisation actually is and how to go about it?
Most people have asked this question at some time and this class is here to answer it. Instead of focusing on behaviours like sit and down we will be focusing on how to work with your puppy.
You will learn how to help your puppy to greet others and take new and scary things in their stride.
As each course will be unique to the individuals attending we will be able to answer some of those all important questions about night time, toileting, puppy biting etc as well.
Small groups will allow for focussed attention whilst still working alongside other puppies.
“Skills, kindness and affection”
Nathan and The Dog Log were recommended to me on umpteen occasions and after his group and 1:1 sessions I could quickly see why.
His patience, knowledge and understanding of both canine and human behaviour have been a great help in training a very bouncy lockdown puppy (and her owner).
This has been enhanced further by the skills, kindness and affection shown by Louisa when she stepped in and started walking our four legged friend.
Between the two of them, I have seen the massive benefits of reward based training and am forever grateful. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
LOLA & KAREN
Before and after puppy arrival and how to
set yourself up for success.
Do you know that you want a puppy to join your family but are unsure what breed would suit you or how to go about the process?
We would love to help.
Getting yourself off on the right foot from the start can make a huge difference to the puppy experience.
If you pay for one of our socialisation courses before you get your puppy you will receive two free half hour zoom calls.
One before you even find your puppy to help you choose the right dog for your family. The second will be once your puppy comes home to join your family. Getting into good habits and learning what you can do before your puppy can even start classes.
You will then have your class voucher to book on the first course available once your puppy has had their vaccinations.
“Nathan’s training sessions are informative, relaxed, enjoyable and very relaxed”
Training with Nathan has been a game changing for us and our border collie/toy poodle pup.
Nathan’s training sessions are informative, relaxed, enjoyable and very relaxed. We’ve had 3 previous dogs but this puppy has been the most challenging.
With Nathan’s training and help we’ve addressed so many problems – chasing vehicles, bikes, runners, not able to let her off lead as she wouldn’t come to you to name but a few.
She’s now a joy to be with and a perfect furbaby.
With our previous dogs we attended puppy training and even a dog behaviourists for a reactive dog but can definitely say our time Nathan has been game changing and so enjoyable.
Just wish we’d found him earlier !
